As a kid, my jams were Star Wars and GI Joe, but of course as a young boy in the 80s I wanted more Transformers and He-Man stuff. I didn't have much of those, but happily lived in a world of Joes and other 3 3/4" figures.
I've been eliminating my toy collection in the past two years, and only keeping some of my favorite items. I'm not looking to collect more, but if I had the money and space, I would make Castle Grayskull a top priority. The skull facade, the working lock, the crummy accessories, but mostly the mystery of this centerpiece in the MOTU world. Both sides fought over it, though it clearly favored He-Man. Regardless, I loved the paradox of such a spooky-looking fortress that was brimming with magic and technology that was basically the hero's greatest weapon and stronghold. Bad. Ass.
